Childproof Drawer: The Video:

Watch this video - I bet you can train an Australian Cattle Dog to do this.
I showed this video at home and have been tasked to get Ruby on this program.
(She really hates it when I try to teach her something and tell her,
"Well, Skidboot would have done it.")

Stormchaser!

Last Wednesday, May 16th, we had our first real gully washer of the season.
We put our chairs on the porch and sat and watched it all come down.

This was a good old knock down drag out kind of storm we get during the monsoon.

Ruby had forgotten mostly about the monsoons.

Thunder and lightning are not Ruby's favorites,
so she went on the offensive to scare the storm off!

Then the storm did the unforgivable -
at a temperature of 100 degrees, it produced hail.

This made Ruby irate.

Ruby was determined she would get it, or at least get a large bite out of it.

Ruby worked harder on controlling the storm,
harder even than on saving us from lizards and sparrows.

Ruby did not let up on herding those little white bits for even one second.

The hail abated for a while, and water continued to pour down.

Ruby continued to protect us.

When the hail came back, Ruby increased her counter offensive.

The storm was not to be allowed to get us,
if Ruby had anything to do with it!

Eventually, Ruby succeeded and the storm was driven off.
The family was safe,
Ruby the Stormchaser had done her job well.
