D'Evil Dog Gets a New Leash

Today at training, Ruby got a new collar and leash.

The day wasn't all roses and sunshine,
ever since the skunk stunk up the yard Thursday night,
(but not the dog, thank god), she has been in an ornery mood.
She barked all the way to class this AM.
She eventually did well at training
(thanks to Robyn with the pocketful of really good treats,)
and got lots of "Good Girls" .

Then I put on the new collar
(to replace the one with her tags
hanging somewhere under the house,)
And led her on her new matching leash to the car.

Before we even get to the freeway,
(has to be less than 5 minutes),
I see the leash on the front seat and it looks funny.

I pull over, and pick it up,
amd below you can find photos of what I found.

At first I was sure she had to have cut it on something,
but it was all soggy at the cut end.

Then I looked in the back seat and
found the other two pieces.

Note that the end with the clip has a notch in it.

This almost ended up in FOUR instead of THREE pieces.

Now, I get to test 1-800-228-WOLF and check their
"Even if chewed!"
guarantee.

I still had the tag from the leash in my pocket!

Dog is Red / Devil is traditionally portrayed as red.

Coincidence?

I think not.
