Merry Christmas!
Sunrise over the mountains was about 70 minutes
after actual sunrise on Christmas morning.
We put on Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Lost Christmas Eve,"
and were listening to its beginning
as we opened the door to look for the sunrise.
Just as the full-feedback electric guitar version of "The First Noel" began to play,
the sun poked its first rays over the mountain top
to make a magic Christmas morning moment!

Santa rides through Superior!
With sirens blaring, Santa rides the commandeered firetruck
(no snow and not cold enough for reindeer this year)
through town.
