See our blog for the Vultures! Look for September 22.
Welcome to the coolest place on earth!
Our new front page is all about what you can see without leaving our yard.

We are at the foot of Apache Leap. The legend has it, that sometime, likely the late 1870's, a band of 75 Apache warriors was chased by the local U.S. Cavalry regiment to the top of the mountain. Rather than surrender or forcibly be taken captive, all 75 chose to ride en mass off the cliff to their deaths.
The women and children at the tribe gathered around the base of the cliff, and shed copious tears over the deaths of the husbands, fathers, sons and lovers. As they cried, when their tears met the ground, they turned into gems.
You can find somewhat translucent pieces of black rock around.
This is obisidian that was embedded in perlite, commonly known as Apache Tears.

This is the Leap from the back yard.

This is the Leap again from the front porch.

During the monsoon.

Please note that 4 quart container does not say, "Viagra," rather it says, "Vigora." That's a bloom booster fertilizer for my orchids and Plumeria.
