Collapse at the Magma Hotel!
See daylight pictures of the additional collapse by clicking here!
Town officials and citizens went running from Thursday, December 6th's Town Council meeting as the front wall of the Magma Hotel's center section collapsed.
I will add more pictures after I can get over there during day light.

The center adobe section was flanked by a brick, and concrete block/brick section.
The adobe was beyond repair.

In 2004, we considered buying the Magma. It was beautiful but in considerable disrepair even then.

Full of exotic beauty.

Very exotic, but looked to me like a very very large project.

You can see some of the remains of the bus depot set from the movie, "U-Turn."
You can also see bowls of the bulldogs that the owner left cooped up there for "security." The poop situation was pretty bad.

Below is the adobe structure in 2004. Already in advanced decay.
The top picture in this page, in the left third of the picture,
you can see the cactus where the monument to Mattie Blaylock used to be in 2004.
This plaque is gone now.
Should we have bought the Hotel? Who knows. Rumor has it the staircase has collapsed on itself.
I know our little 140 Copper is quite project but on a much lesser scale. Still a work in progress.
Watch for daytime pictures of the fallen center potion of the Magma.
