Ruby Hits the Beach!
Well, here on my tour of duty in CA, Jim and Ruby came out to visit for a week.
Ruby was howlin away for me to let you all know about her beach adventure.
Ruby had no concept of "beach" before her visit.
We think she was a little overwhelmed with the size of the ocean,
she lost her curly tail for a while,
when she realized she was not the utter dominatrix of the domain.
Poor Ruby got confused when she had miles of private beach to roam off leash.
Ruby was used to her yard. A regular yard.
It took her a while and then she got used to the fact she could run wide and fast.
The birds helped her, swooping down to nearly beside her,
and then flying 40 feet away,
just to make her run.
She is learning to run and play, and realize how big the world is.
She loved playing in the rocks.
She is getting used to the beach. Stretching her doggy legs.
